Rookie of the Year- Michael Carter-Williams, Philadelphia 76ers
The Syracuse product won the Rookie of the Month three times and should be the runaway winner.
He averaged 16.7 points, 6.3 rebounds and 6.2 assists on the season and was the lone bright spot on a horrendous Sixers team.
Orlando’s Victor Oladipo finishes a close second.
Most Improved Player- Anthony Davis, New Orleans Pelicans
This award could go to numerous players, but my vote goes to Davis, who became a terror at both ends of the floor.
Davis averaged 20.8 points, 10 rebounds and a league-leading 2.8 blocks. Davis’ PER (26.5) is the highest ever for a player during his age-20 season.
He went from player with tons of potential to a bonafide NBA superstar in one season.
MVP- Kevin Durant, Oklahoma City Thunder
Durant has been the most dominant player in the NBA all season long and this is his award and the vote shouldn’t be close.
LeBron James is still the NBA’s best player, but Durant had the best season.
