New York Knicks Links: What They’re Saying

The New York Knicks are in the midst of an unusually long layoff. Following a loss to the Miami Heat on Sunday, the Knicks have a week-long rest until they play the Toronto Raptors on Friday.

Since then, things have been quiet. After all, what is there to say about a team that is all but eliminated from the postseason (they’re two games back with four to play) and doesn’t even have a draft pick to look forward to this summer?

Well, luckily, the smart minds of the internet have scraped together some worthwhile Knicks-related treats. Check out the links below:

- A couple of notes from the Knicks’ practice session today. Phil Jackson isn’t interfering with Mike Woodson. Mike Woodson is his own person, too. Carmelo Anthony practiced pretty lightly.

- Somehow I’ve missed the earlier editions, but Jason Gay’s Knicks Panic Quiz is very much worth your time.

- ESPN unveiled a new stat this week, Real Plus-Minus. I’m pretty big into stats and support the analytics movement, but… I don’t know. Sometimes I’m just not that interested in quantifying everything.

- From Crab Dribbles — on Tim Hardaway Jr. and what he could become for the Knicks.

That’s pretty much it for now. Again, we’re at a pretty dull point in the season. Stay strong, friends.
