According to Shams Charania of RealGM.com, the Knicks are one of three teams that are interested in Chinese league guard Lester Hudson.

Hudson has played parts of three seasons in the NBA, but has been a standout in China this year, averaging 26.1 points, 7.6 rebounds and 5.0 assists with the Xinjiang Guanghui Flying Tigers in the Chinese Basketball Association, the team with the second best record in the league.

It’s the third straight strong showing in China for the 29-year-old who spent camp this past fall with the Utah Jazz.

Hudson is a former second-round pick and made his only significant impact in the NBA during the 2011-2 season, which is the last time he appeared during the regular season.

He averaged 12.7 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.7 assists in 24.2 minutes per contest in a 13-game stint with the Cleveland Cavaliers, but the Cavs elected not to re-sign him for the season after his first 10-day contract expired, instead offering only another 10-day deal.

Hudson’s agent was furious over that idea and Hudson signed or the rest of that season with the Memphis Grizzlies.

Hudson is still playing in the Chinese Basketball Association postseason, but he’ll be available to return stateside before the conclusion of the NBA’s regular season.

The Grizzlies and Clippers are also rumored to be interested in Hudson.
