After another disappointing loss Wednesday night to the Sacramento Kings, many feel the New York Knicks could be the most aggressive team when the NBA Trade deadline rolls around in six days.
That being said, I don’t expect the Knicks to be able to make many moves due to a lack of valuable trade assets and a roster that consists of nothing but expensive contracts and close to minimum deals.
However that won’t stop the Knicks from trying as almost every player on the roster not named Carmelo Anthony could be made available.
Al Iannazzone of Newsday writes that that every Knicks player outside of Melo could be available, and thinks any one of Iman Shumpert, Raymond Felton, Metta World Peace and Beno Udrih could be in their final days with New York.
Some feel they should be buyers and Iannazzone notes that the Knicks are still targeting Rajon Rondo as their preferred upgrade at point guard.
Others feel the Knicks will be sellers and could move as many pieces as possible to acquire draft picks and young players to plan for the future.
No matter what the Knicks plan is, one thing is for sure and that is the fact that the next six days will be very interesting.
