Have you ever wondered how Madison Square Garden, “The World’s Most Famous Arena” and home of the New York Knicks compares to other stadiums and arenas across the country?
Everyone knows there is no better place to watch a game, but what about all of the extras around the arena?
Now that the Garden has been transformed, Paul Swaney from Stadium Journey and Stadium Journey Magazine had the chance to rate Madison Square Garden.
Swaney’s publication publishes reviews of sports stadiums from around the world. To date, they have reviewed 1,741 different venues in 38 countries.
So how did the Garden do?
Stadium Journey took a look at the venue, food and beverage, atmosphere, neighborhood, fans, access, return of investment and all of the extras and graded all of them on a one to five grading scale.
The Garden received either a four or five in each category.
Sean MacDonald, who did the review had the following to say:
Overall, the newly upgraded MSG is a vast improvement. This is especially true for those who can afford the luxury areas, but the Chase Bridges are certainly within reach of most patrons and tickets can be found online before most games. But all fans are better off with the Transformed Garden and even if you have seen it before, I would recommend another visit to appreciate the upgrades.
It’s a very good read whether you have been to The Garden for a Knicks game or not.
