Carmelo Anthony sinks to new low, tells Knicks fan off

One just has to look at New York Knicks superstar Carmelo Anthony to tell he is frustrated and can’t handle the pressure of losing at the rate the Knicks are.

Even a blind person can see that.

However after yet another disappointing loss on their home floor Wednesday night, Melo sank to an all-time low.

From the New York Post:

In the final minutes of another disastrous Knicks loss, a boisterous fan shouted at Carmelo Anthony “Nice defense, Melo.” According to an eyewitness, Anthony shot back “Go f— yourself,” drawing a reaction from other fans in the area.

Sure Anthony is frustrated and that frustration is boiling over, but that is something Melo simply cannot do. It makes him and the organization look very foolish, not that the Knicks needed any additional assistance from Anthony to look bad.

With guys like J.R. Smith already on the roster, Anthony has to be a leader and act more professional than that.

He’s supposed to be the guy that holds everything together and when you see him come unglued like that it is definitely not a good sign.

As for another Knicks loss?

Melo offered:

“I really don’t know what it is, why we can’t play well on our own home court,” Anthony said, via ESPN. “This should be the time where we gain some momentum, gain some confidence as a team playing here on our own home court, but that don’t seem like it’s the case right now.”

Maybe he should take some more time and try and figure that problem out instead of directing his frustrations at the fans.

Wow! you guys are looking really desperate for something to write about! Carmelo is a althete who responded in the heat of the moment, most likely to an obnoxious fan! Nothing worth writing about.
