Metta World Peace misses practice, Doubtful against Detroit

Metta World Peace was held out of practice on Monday after attending funeral services for his sister, Shalice Holmes-Taylor, who lost an eight month battle with cancer late last week. Several Knicks executives such as Steve Mills and Allan Houston were in attendance.

In additional to the unfortunate passing of his sister, World Peace, has been battling a sore left knee and is expected to miss Tuesday night’s game in Detroit versus the revamped Pistons.

With Tyson Chandler still out with a fractured right fibula, and World Peace now expected to miss the game, the struggling Knicks will be without two of their best interior defenders when they face off against the Pistons on Tuesday night.
