You would think that things would instantly get better in Minnesota after the firing of David Kahn, but Flip Saunders has made some head-scratching moves right off the bat.

I like the deal for Martin as the Wolves have been searching for help at the 2 for a long while now but  $27 million over four years is nuts. Add to that he gave Budinger $15 million and Brewer $14 million and one would think that Kahn is still calling the shots.

Slightly over $57 million for three role players isn’t exactly what this franchise needs at the moment.

Losing Kirilenko, who was very good last season, doesn’t help. Especially since he took a huge pay cut.

I’m one of the few who actually likes the Wolves draft.

Dieng, Brown and Muhammad all have chances to be very good NBA players.

But grading the Wolves offseason comes down to two question marks.

Will they re-sign Nikola Pekovic and will Muhammad prove to be a steal at the end of the lottery? Until those questions are answered, it’s hard to get very excited about the Wolves future.
