The 2013 NBA Playoffs are upon us, so that means that it’s the best time of the year for NBA fans.

When we look at the Eastern Conference, it’s the Miami Heat and then everyone else, but seven other teams hope to have something to say about that.

There aren’t many storylines in the Eastern Conference other than in New York. Can Carmelo Anthony finally lead the New York Knicks out of the first round? Are the Knicks real threats to the Heat?

Those questions and plenty more will answered over the course of the next couple of months.

As the postseason begins gets set to begin this Saturday, here’s a look at everything you need to know about each first round series.

No. 1 Miami Heat vs. No. 8 Milwaukee Bucks

Season Series: Miami 3-1

How they matchup:

Miami- 65-16

Points per game: 102.9 (fifth in NBA)

Rebounds per game: 38.6 (last)

Assists per game: 23.0 (seventh)

Points allowed per game: 95.0 (fifth)

Field goal percentage: 49.6% (first)

Three-point percentage: 39.6% (second)

Free-throw percentage:  75.4% (16th)

Milwaukee- 38-44

Points per game: 98.9 (12th)

Rebounds per game: 44.0 (fifth)

Assists per game:  22.9 (ninth)

Points allowed per game:  100.4 (2oth)

Field goal percentage: 43.5% (28th)

Three-point percentage: 36.0% (13th)

Free-throw percentage:  73.6% (22nd)

What to expect: Members of the Bucks said earlier in the year that they hoped to get the Heat in the first round of the playoffs. Be careful what you wish for. You got it.

This is a total mismatch on paper as LeBron James and the Heat should cruise through this series. The Bucks length could give the Heat a little bit of problems, but in the end Miami will make them pay. They are a great shooting and excellent defensive team and Milwaukee is neither.

With the run that LeBron has been on this year, he is out to make a statement and will start by carving up the Bucks.

Prediction: Miami in four
