Steve Novak Out of lineup vs. Nets

With Carmelo Anthony’s status still in doubt for tonight’s matchup against the Brooklyn Nets, one man will not be in uniform for sure and that is sharpshooter Steve Novak.

Novak missed the morning shootaround with flu-like symptoms and will not play tonight.

That news was confirmed by Al Iannazzone via Twitter.

The loss of Novak will be felt from the perimeter where the Knicks did not shoot the ball well Monday night against the Houston Rockets.

Novak is averaging 8.3 points per game on the season and is shooting 43.8 percent from behind the arc on the season. He is also a big reason why the Knicks are shooting 40.5 percent from behind the arc on the season, good for third in the NBA.
