It has been a crazy 24 hours surrounding New York Knicks point guards.
Raymond Feltonwas acquired from the Portland Trail Blazers. Jeremy Lin is
apparently on his way out of tow. Therefore it’s only natural that Jason Kidd get his name in the news as well.
That’s exactly what Kidd did when he was arrested in the Hamptons for a DWI on Saturday night, according toTaylor K. Vecsey of the East Hampton Patch (via Peter Vecsey).

Not exactly the way to start off his Knicks career. Is it?
After the team has spent much of the last week or so working on Jeremy Lin’s contract situation, the last thing the Knicks need is a negative PR issue with Kidd to have to deal with.
Additional information came via 27East.com:
Mr. Kidd, 39, was driving on Cobb Road in sometime during overnight hours when he struck a telephone pole, according to a source. He suffered minor injuries in the crash and was charged a short time later.
He was arraigned at Southampton Town Justice Court this morning and subsequently released.
It’s a shame that a great decision-maker on the court doesn’t make the same good decisions off the court.
With the decision to sign Kidd, who’s best days as a player a clearly behind him, questioned by many Knicks fans, a case of bad publicity such as this is the last thing Knicks fans want to hear. especially with Lin likely heading to Houston.
