There are rumors that J.R. Smith will opt into his player option, and Fields may not really command all that much money, so re-signing him shouldn't be an issue. If Lin meant what he said, maybe we can hope that he'll take that $3 mil or less.   But getting both of their Bird Rights would be fantastic. Do you know when the ruling will be made?
