Knicks's Season Coming to an End

The Knicks have 12 games left and of those 12, 8 are against playoffs teams. We’re not sure when exactly Amar’e, Jeffries and Lin will be available to play, so we just have to move forward and work with what we have. The last game against the Pacers was a tough one to swallow. It was a game where we could’ve really used those three starters. The Knicks as a team looked tired when they got to the fourth quarter.

I still feel the Knicks will make it to the playoffs (they currently hold the eighth seed). I also feel we can move up and try to get out of the eighth, and even the seventh seed; however, time is running out. The Knicks have been playing better under Coach Woodson, but the real test comes now. Can they get some wins against these tougher teams and try to move up in the standings?

Carmelo has been doing a pretty good job carrying this team, but there is just so much he can do on his own. We need others to step up on the offensive end. The remergence of Iman Shumpert has helped, but Lin’s injury really put a damper on the point guard position. Baron Davis, Mike Bibby and Toney Douglas have not performed well at all. Nevertheless, the Knicks have to move forward and keep fighting and relying on Melo, the defense and hopefully, Tyson, JR and Iman (if not, all three) to help take off some of the scoring load. One way or the other, time is ticking for the Knicks to make a last run for the playoffs.
