The NBA announced today that New York Knicks point guard Jeremy Lin has been named the Eastern Conference Player of the Week .
Lin averaged 27.3 points, 8.3 assists and 2.0 steals per game, while leading the Knicks to a 4-0 record. Jeremy Lin has been extremely impressive since taking over as a starter for the Knicks, and this accolade is not a bad accomplishment considering that was his very first full week as a starter in the NBA.
Jeremy Lin’s superb play has caught the eye of NBA fans and pundits everywhere. Linsanity is taking the world by storm and hopefully for the Knicks, it will take them back above the five hundred mark and into a better spot in the standings come playoff time.
The true test for Lin will now come as he adjusts to the increased expectations, and his role as the full-time starter which means logging over 30 minutes a game.
