Knicks Add Jeremy Lin to Replace Injured Shumpert

According to ESPN.com’s Marc Stein Your New York Knicks have claimed former Golden State Warrior and Houston Rocket point guard Jeremy Linn off wavers today.

Jeremy Lin spent his rookie season with Golden State where he played 29 games averaging 2.6 points and 1.4 assists per game.

The Knicks will need Lin to step in and play a little point off the bench; a role that Iman Shumpert originally held prior to his injury on Christmas day.

Lin is more of a distributor than Shumpert and should help the team’s offense fight through stretches when they normally struggle to create offense off of the bench.

The 6-foot-3 Jeremy Lin played his college ball at Harvard and went undrafted before joining Golden State last season.
