Breaking Down The Knicks Schedule: #1 February 23rd

Good things come to those who wait; an old adage relating to our faithful B.O.B. reader’s who’ve patiently waited for our number one regular season Knicks game to come. And here it is, in all its glory: Knicks v. Heat, a nationally televised game coming right before the All-Star break. So, what puts this one above the rest? For starters its against the Heat and on national television. There should be at least five participants for the East battling it out. LeBron vs. Carmelo, Bosh vs. Amar’e, Wade vs. a fully depressed Landry Fields, what more can you ask for? But the biggest reason I’m looking forward to this one is the timeliness factor. It’s the Knicks last game before All-Star weekend and much like the games against Chicago and Boston scheduled immediantly after the break, this one’s a pristine opportunity for New York to make a statement.

The game right before All-Star weekend is notorious for being a lackluster contest. Players are so close to vacation they can taste it—mentally they’ve checked out by halftime—but in this one, the level of talent and playoff/tie-breaker relevancy should prove to be enough motivation for those involved. Too bad this entire list is irrelevant and none of these games will ever happen. We were really looking forward to them.
