No doubt we weren't losing 'cuz of Lee. He played great for us. And while it's sad we couldn't see him alongside Amar'e, if we did keep him then they would have to be the duo that lead us to the promised land. Yes, we'd be far better his year, but it'd prevent us from possibly being able to sign a Carmelo Anthony, Chris Paul or Deron Williams down the road. As much as I love David, I think a core built around Amar'e and one of those guys has the potential to be far better. Particularly since neither Amar'e nor David are good low post defenders/paint protectors, so they're not an ideal combo. Like a low-cost/low-grade backup center like Turiaf along Amar'e and CP3 would be far better than Lee & Amar'e with a low-grade backup point like say Luke Ridnour.

Actually, we got down tremendously (&booed) in the third quarter, but we also came back at the end of that quarter, but that's just me being anal and has nothing to do with your point. Yes, as a jump shooting team we will be up and down. But that doesn't mean it's unlikely we'll be in the playoffs. As I stated before the season, I think there's no way we get one of the top 6 seeds, but one of the two remaining spots are likely. Right now Cleveland and Indiana have those spaces, and while I think the Cavs can maintain there solid pace, there's no way I'd say the Pacers are more likely to stay ahead of us than not. That is unless they keep having miraculous quarters where they only miss one shot, but somehow I don't see that continuing...

Knicks weren't losing because of David Lee, Knicks were losing because of all the lousy players ALONGSIDE David Lee. So it's no surprise that Lee now has a winning record. One guy can't do it alone, whether it's Lee, or Amare... or LeBron.

Too bad we couldn't have seen Lee alongside Amare in the frontcourt. Of course it's not the ideal pairing, but teams can wait 30 years for an ideal frontcourt. And in the mean time a pretty damn good frontcourt is going to lead to a much better record.

That gaem showed exactly what the Knicks are, an up and down team. During the second quarter, the Warriors pulled ahead and the crowd showerd the boos down onto the court.

In the third quarter, New York came roaring back and the crowd was going nuts again.

The Knicks are looking better, but they aren't a likely playoff team, there is something missing still.
