Couldn't agree with you more.

And every time Earl Barron is mentioned, I get annoyed that the Knicks haven't signed him since he's still available. Both Curry and Mozgov really are more like 15-22 minute players, and ideally Anthony Randolph is more a power forward or even small forward due to his lack of bulk. All of which means we could still really use another center.

Maybe Earl wanted assurances of minutes, but since we've got these other guys we couldn't promise him that?

I think I could complain about this every day. In a sense it bothers me more than losing out on LeBron 'cuz there was nothing more we could've done, versus here we still could easily snag The Barron.

Rebounding is going to be a huge issue for this team. Amar'e Stoudemire, for whatever reason, has never been a great rebounder and the Knicks don't have anyone in the back court that can really contribute on the glass. Thought Timofey Mozgov would alleviate some of those concerns, but he didn't. Keeping Earl Barron would have been great, he was a terrific rebounder.

The disturbing part is this came against Minnesota, other than Kevin Love, no player on this roster is really considered a good rebounder. If the Knicks want to make the playoffs, they need a better presence on the glass.
