Perhaps I should've given y'all more credit for getting rid of Turk's big contract. And I said I liked Kleiza. Still, getting him and trading for Wright are just tweaks, which is what contenders do. A team like the Raptors needs big moves. Kleiza might add what, 2 wins? Also I panned the signing of Gooden too, but that doesn't mean the Amir contract is good. Darko got paid less than even Amir, but he was still overpaid too.

Okay, so raps get a -4, suprise, suprise. I think getting a high pick at #13 was pretty good, how about shedding a disgruntled and out of shape hedo for someone who knows how to run with oir young guns? Or the fact that amir is only getting $30 mill, less than gooden got. How about kleiza for inside/outside matchups, how bout trading a sparatic and weak marco bellinelli, who i really admired by the way for a defensive julian wright? No our moves werent blockbuster, but they set the stage, considering new york overpaid amare and they get a better rating, yesss, suprise, suprise

Huh, thanks, I hadn't heard that. That definitely is better, and as I said, it's possible that in 5 years the Raps snag that option because he'll be a bargain at $7 mil. However, even at just $23 million over 4 years, it still seems like they could've gotten him for less.

Just wanna point out the Amir contract on the raptors squad, the orignal number was appareantly fudged. It wasnt 34 million it was 30 million, with the first few years building toward the final year where he gets 7 million but the final year is a team option. SO, he actually only guaranteed 23 million.
