Curry’s only value to the Knicks is his expiring contract. Since Jeffries contract also expires next year its a wash. And the Knicks can still use the slot to try to sign Carmello Anthony.

Also Jeffries will at least be able to compete for minutes, actually play basketball (at least on the defensive end of the court), and won’t be a distraction with legal court problems (which seems to be the only reference to a court that Eddy Curry can be linked with anymore it seems)

Of course this also depends on what the other pieces mentioned are.
