Amare deal likely to be done by this Weekend

First Free Agent Splash?

The Amare to New York deal could be done as soon as this weekend and is expected to be worth up to $120 million for 5 or 6 years.

The Suns have appeared to be the only other team interested in offering Amare the max and with their two new deals with Hakeem Warrick and Channing Frye it seems the Suns have parted ways with Stoudemire.

Great news for us nonetheless!

120M? Are you retarded? Do you know anything about the CBA? Amare can’t sign with the Knicks for more than 100M. Please do research before you post.

This post was reported BEFORE the Suns agreed to sign Hakim Warrick. Up until that point, Phoenix didn’t have to renounce Amar’e's rights, and thus could’ve done a sign-and-trade with the Knicks which would’ve allowed for a 6-year $120 million contract (actually even more). Now, however, you are right, because the Knicks will have to just sign Stat straight up as a free agent, and thus the max they can offer him is around $99 million.
