Doug, if you really want yer Rockets to get the best, I think it’s less important whether the picks are protected and more important that you hope the Knicks can’t get anyone during free agency. Like if the Knicks somehow miraculously get LeBron and Stoudamire, the team would be so good that it wouldn’t matter if the picks were protected or not ‘cuz they’d be so sucky. Like even if the Knicks only got decent enough to get into the playoffs as an 8th seed for 2011, that’d mean the pick would still only be 15th which is usually a bit of a crapshoot.

As A Rocket fan, I partly want this trade to back fire so the Rockets get two high first round picks. However, I almsot want them to be protected so the Knicks dont look like fulls. So many conflicting thoughts.
