Thanks, Paul.

It would be nice to get Douglas back in the lineup a bit, but for some reason D'Antoni no longer seems willing to give him time (except for in blowouts). The only lineup changes Mikey D seems willing to do are with his 8th & sometimes 9th man off the bench. The starting 5 seem etched in stone for some reason, while the 6th and 7th have settled into being Nate & Al (when Harrington's healthy of course). That 8th spot was Jonathan Bender's for a while, but now it seems to be Jordan Hill's.

While it may seem that D keeps that lineup too tight, there really aren't any great other options besides Toney on the 4 remaining spots on the bench. Darko? Marcus Landry? Eddy Curry? Larry Hughes?(Hughes can be good, but he's the model of inconsistency which drives coaches nuts, much like Nate, but without the energy & enthusiasm).

So I'm with you: give Douglas some run. Try to shake things up so that Gallo's more productive (whether that's making him come off the bench or forcing him to drink some Red Bull before games).

Thanks for the comments!

Hey. Love your site. Seems interesting that Coach D hasn't made any lineup changes in the past month. Gallo has been cold, and has been whinning and complaining to refs every chance he gets. With Al H out, I'm not sure that moving Gallo to the bench might not help that bench.
I'd love to see douglas starting at the 2, and will moved to the 3 for a while. With that move, you get some scoring from Douglas at the 2, he also gets to work a little on his point skills while knowing if things go wrong that Duhon is there to bail out to. Meanwhile, you bring Gallo off the bench in Al's minutes, and you likely get the same production.

Douglas has shown that his shot falls, and he plays quality D. He'd be more consistent in 20 minutes as a starter than hughes.

I think that Douglas's development is key. IF he can run the point a little by the end of this year, I think he could be moved, or counted on as a future piece.
