Celtics show up the Knickerbockers

8 points. That’s right Friday night the Knicks scored a stunning 8 points in the first quarter against the Celtics friday night. The Knicks lost the game 82-96 and are now 1-1 this preaseason. Gallinari went 1-7 from the field in a really bad showing. David Lee went 8-14 from the field, which was also pretty alarming.

Jared Jeffries shot 4 three pointers Friday night. Yes, 4 three pointers from our center. Jordan Hill went 4-5 from the field and really played well. Nate Robinson rebounded well shooting 3-10 from the field and 0-4 from three. Thankfully we’ll only have to watch his erratic play for one more season.

Toney Douglass played the best he’s played all summer by scoring 11 points.

Overall, a pretty poor shooting performance, but I was content with the defensive intensity. The Knicks rebounded well from their horrible start, but they’re young and will learn from this.
