Jennings to start Opening Night, Hill not in Rotation

AUTHOR: | IN: Preseason 2009 | COMMENTS: None Yet

Earlier this evening I came across the news that Brandon Jennings, the Bucks first round draft pick this season would be in the starting lineup I instantly dropped my head in disgust. Let me explain. Mr. Walsh has passed on two outstanding talents these past two drafts for Danilo Gallinari and Jordan Hill. Which talents am I talking about exactly? I’m talking about Eric Gordon and Brandon Jennings. Sure, we got snubbed by the horribly run Warriors with their Stephen Curry selection. The Knicks back up plan was Jordan Hill, or trade for Ricky Rubio. Rubio trade talks failed and [...]

Just how terrible is Larry Hughes?

AUTHOR: | IN: 2009-2010 Season, Chase Thomas, Knicks | COMMENTS: 5 Comments

Larry Hughes is a New York Knick, and each time he steps foot in the game I cringe a little inside. Hughes is one of the few NBA players who’s actually shunned by a former team, in website form. http://heylarryhughespleasestoptakingsomanybadshots.com/ An entire website dedicated to warning fans of playing Larry Hughes and what it does to a team. The Wizards learned their lesson early and shipped Hughes to the Cavs. The Cavs saw Hughes as a perfect wingman to LeBron, unfortunately Hughes dominated the ball and took countless bad shots that took the Cavs out of lots of games. The [...]

Knicks extend win streak to 3; Sweep Nets

AUTHOR: | IN: Preseason 2009 | COMMENTS: None Yet

The Knicks beat the Nets at Seton Hall Wednesday night 94-92. The Knicks had an 18 point lead going into the half, but after an abysmal third quarter the Nets came all the way back and even led at the beginning of the fourth. Duhon finally got on track this preseason by dropping 21 on Alston and company. The Knicks went with their second team for the majority of the game and still came out on top against the winless Nets. The Nets finished the preseason 0-6 and the Knicks who got off to a rough start, finish 4-2. Lee [...]

Knicks defeat the Celtics 108-103

AUTHOR: | IN: Preseason 2009 | COMMENTS: None Yet

Tuesday night was a good one for Knicks fans. The Knicks beat the Celtics to gain revenge from their earlier preseason loss to the C’s. Harrington and Robinson led all scores with Harrington dropping 20 and Robinson adding 21. Jeffries is playing outside his limits again, shooting 5 three pointers and making only 1. Duhon went 1-7 from the field and really had a rough game. Gallinari shot really well and added 18. Oh, and Lee added another double-double performance, what else is new? Player of the game: Nate Robinson Nate gets player of the game for stepping up off [...]

Knicks keep Nets winless in Preseason

AUTHOR: | IN: Preseason 2009 | COMMENTS: 1 Comment

The New York Knicks won again at MSG Friday night by a score of 93-89 against the New Jersey Nets. The Knicks shot a lot better tonight and were led by the strong play of David Lee who scored 20 points and grabbed 14 rebounds. Wilson Chandler continues to show he is to good on the glass to be a 2 in D’Antoni’s system by adding 8 rebounds and 16 points. Adding Nate Robinson the starting lineup was odd, and we can only hope it ends after tonight. Even with Nate’s 15 points he was erratic and just doesn’t fit [...]

Celtics show up the Knickerbockers

AUTHOR: | IN: Preseason 2009 | COMMENTS: None Yet

8 points. That’s right Friday night the Knicks scored a stunning 8 points in the first quarter against the Celtics friday night. The Knicks lost the game 82-96 and are now 1-1 this preaseason. Gallinari went 1-7 from the field in a really bad showing. David Lee went 8-14 from the field, which was also pretty alarming. Jared Jeffries shot 4 three pointers Friday night. Yes, 4 three pointers from our center. Jordan Hill went 4-5 from the field and really played well. Nate Robinson rebounded well shooting 3-10 from the field and 0-4 from three. Thankfully we’ll only have [...]

Bosh’s favorite road destination?

AUTHOR: | IN: Free Agency/Trades/Front Office | COMMENTS: None Yet

Bosh answered a question that certainly shook up the Raptors fan base. When asked where Bosh’s favorite road destination lied Bosh answered, “New York.” Bosh has ignored the fans request to re-sign at games and likely won’t due so until next summer, if he ever does. If there was ever a sign Bosh is going to be a Knick this has to be it. I’d much rather see Bosh/Lee rather then Amare/Lee so I was glad to see Bosh loves playing at MSG, but then again who doesn’t?

Knicks knock off Nets in first Preseason Game

AUTHOR: | IN: Preseason 2009 | COMMENTS: 1 Comment

The New York Knicks beat the New Jersey Nets in the preseason opener today by a score of 115-107. The Knicks shot the ball extremely well and shot 41.9% from 3. Wilson Chandler added 21 points and 7 rebounds, with David Lee racking up 20 points and 9 rebounds. Al Harrington led all scores with 23 points. Great gameplan by Coach D’Antoni and had our guys play hard every quarter. After falling behind early the Knicks took the lead in 2nd quarter and never looked back. Knicks shot the ball well so that helped, and watching Lee/Lopez go at it [...]
