LeBron doesn’t make the Finals

AUTHOR: Chase Thomas | IN: NBA Playoffs 2009 | COMMENTS: None Yet

The Cavs are now t-minus one season until LeBron bolts to NY, unless the Cavs get a ring next season. This loss was truly painful to watch as LeBron was completely off from the field and just didn’t seem there at times. The city of Cleveland should certainly be nervous because the chances of LeBron not bolting to NY if they do not take home a championship next season is slim to none.
Thanks, Orlando.

Either way we lose this postseason

AUTHOR: Chase Thomas | IN: Playoff Push '08-'09 | COMMENTS: None Yet

With the postseason getting closer and closer to the NBA Finals the Knicks fans like myself usually have to find another team to cheer for to make things interesting, but there’s a big problem, with the remaining 5 we all lose.
Let me explain.
The Boston Celtics are likely to advance as Stern just will not have a Magic/Cavs ECF matchup because of the ratings, but Celtics/Cavs is going to be heated and physical. Watching the Celtics get through each round is painful because I’m having to watch one of the most unlikeable teams in NBA history (I went there) advance with [...]

T-Mac to New York gaining steam

AUTHOR: Chase Thomas | IN: Free Agency/Trades/Front Office | COMMENTS: None Yet

New York Daily News is reporting that the Knicks could possibly be attracted by Tracy McGrady’s 22.5 million coming off the books next July just in time for the big 2010 free agency.
If McGrady is pursued this could be monumental in luring LeBron to New York. A backcourt of Curry/McGrady could be devastating for opposing defenses. McGrady is looking to get his career back on track and really would only require perhaps Larry Hughes and maybe Jared Jefferies (I can dream right?).
I am all in favor of getting rid of the overrated Hughes who never really fit in [...]

Del Curry Speaks Out, ” I don’t know where that came from, there’s no truth to it”

AUTHOR: Chase Thomas | IN: Draft Updates 2009 | COMMENTS: None Yet

With an interesting turn of events, Del Curry has spoken to the public about his son Stephen Curry.
Del, an NBA player himself has said he hasn’t heard any word of the Knicks making a promise to pick his son at the 8th spot if he’s there.

Now that could be true that Del wasn’t made aware of this situation, but to believe the Knicks haven’t spoken to Steph is very slim. Whether Steph is relaying all the information to his father could also be a factor in what seems to be an “out of touch” father with his son’s draft status.
Perhaps, [...]

Curry to NYK is a “lock”

AUTHOR: Chase Thomas | IN: Draft Updates 2009 | COMMENTS: None Yet

RealGM is reporting that unless the Knicks somehow get a top three pick in the draft this summer, then Stephen Curry will become a Knick. It’s also being reported that the only reason Curry came out this year is because the Knicks assured him that he’d be taken.
