Chris Mullin is being linked by several sources close to the Knicks that he is the leading candidate to be the new GM of the Knicks.
Mullin is currently the GM of the Golden State Warriors and with the current make up of the team they are destined to rot in the West until Don Nelson is pushed out of town. Mullin would be a great fit here in NY.
As much as people are hyping this though, I can’t help but wonder why? Walsh runs things here in NY and knows what he wants. I feel like if we bring Mullin in he will be nothing more then a speaker for Walsh. Walsh will guide Mullin and ask D’Antoni for his thoughts when needed.
Could this trio be just we needed? Maybe, but we still have a long way to go and filling this position won’t have any major effects on the franchise.
