Knicks beat Hornets, but fall to Bobcats?

AUTHOR: Chase Thomas | IN: Free Agency/Trades/Front Office | COMMENTS: None Yet

Another crazy weekend in NYK basketball as the Knicks beat the short handed hornets but fell too the rising Bobcats.
Even though we played very well against the Hornets friday I’m still not sold on our mental toughness, much like Coach D’Antoni and believe the majority of this team should not return next season.
And with the season coming to a close soon more rumors will start to surface on what the Knicks will do with Lee and Nate this offseason.
If things keep going like they are now though then I firmly believe both will be given extensions this summer (even though [...]

Z-Bo better then Bosh?

AUTHOR: Chase Thomas | IN: Knicks | COMMENTS: None Yet

As I was finishing my knicks news searches tonight I came across an interesting interview with Randolph.
What I gathered from it is one thing; he’s completely lost it.
Z-Bo was very assertive to his claim that he’s better then Chris Bosh and would say it to his face. He also was open to the fact that getting traded to the Clippers was a mistake.
This couldn’t be better for me because being the Z-Bo hater that I am seeing how cocky he still is just hilarious and baffling at the same time. How a player who has a accomplished zero all [...]

Knicks are headed to the lottery

AUTHOR: Chase Thomas | IN: Knicks | COMMENTS: None Yet

Knicks are headed to the lottery and one can hope it doesn’t turn out like last year.

Also, with the season winding down I’m going to be breaking down potential picks for the Knicks in the draft this year each day starting sometime this weekend.
And I suppose I should mention that the Knicks take on the Hornets at home tomorrow night as the Knicks continue to…(tank)…and try to move up in the draft.

Knicks vs. Clippers tonight at MSG

AUTHOR: Chase Thomas | IN: Regular Season Game '08-'09 | COMMENTS: None Yet

Tonight we’ll get to see what could have been when Eric Gordon comes into town.

We’re also going to get to see Zach Randolph, whether I’d like to or not. If there is one player I’ve never been more happy to get rid of it’d have to be Randolph. Randolph’s whole career will be defined as putting up great numbers on terrible teams.
At the beginning of the season Randolph controlled the ball, and hung around the perimeter thinking he was Allan Houston. Randolph is never going to be anything special, but Gordon could be if he can get out [...]

Knicks don’t appreciate Ewing?

AUTHOR: Chase Thomas | IN: Coaching | COMMENTS: None Yet

Stan Van Gundy is at it again and speaking when not spoken too. Stan claims this time that the Knicks organization “pretend” to appreciate Ewing. This is one of the most absurd claims I’ve heard in some time and for it to come from someone in the Van Gundy family is very perplexing.
Stan is upset the Knicks haven’t hired their best player in franchise history, and just can’t grasp why.
Well Stan…
Let me break it down for you. The Knicks know how important Ewing was to their franchise and how much he did for the city, but perhaps the [...]

Gallinari’s Season Likely Over

AUTHOR: Chase Thomas | IN: Knicks | COMMENTS: None Yet

The Knicks will likely be without their first round pick for the rest of the season. Gallinari is likely to have minor surgery sometime soon on his back and will not be back until the summer league, doctors expect.
It’s been a rough first season for Gallinari, but I think the biggest thing here is that he’s finally getting surgery so he can get ready for next season and be at full force.

Knicks lose in the 4th…AGAIN

AUTHOR: Chase Thomas | IN: Knicks, Playoff Push '08-'09 | COMMENTS: None Yet

The Knicks are back up to their old tricks; losing in the fourth quarter.
The Knicks seemed destined to end their current skid, but unfortunately the game couldn’t be called after the third quarter. The Knicks headed into the fourth with a 9 point lead, but D’Antoni’s claim that the Knicks “have no mental toughness” certainly showed last night as they ended up losing 106-102 and giving up 36 points in the fourth.
It’s games like this that just make you sick to your stomach to know the Knicks had it won and outplayed the Magic all game, but to have it [...]

Cheikh Samb out, Courtney Sims in

AUTHOR: Chase Thomas | IN: Free Agency/Trades/Front Office | COMMENTS: None Yet

The Knicks chose not to resign Samb this morning after his 10 day contract was up. The Knicks decided to go a different route and sign Courtney Sims to a 10 day contract.
I’m a bit shocked they gave up on Samb so quickly, but he really didn’t fit the system. Good luck in your future endeavors Samb and welcome Sims!
